Aika Doone is a dancer, choreographer, and educator based in Los Angeles.
She holds a BFA in dance performance from Chapman University. After earning her degree, Aika garnered a diverse portfolio of experience in the contemporary dance realm.
She has performed with companies such as NW Dance Project, the IAF Company, Open Space Dance and Backhausdance, to name a few. She is currently a member of Entity Contemporary Dance, and most recently performed in the company’s Los Angeles premiere of “in honor of all the times I wasn’t myself.” Throughout her career, Aika has worked on various projects with acclaimed choreographers such as Dwight Rhoden, Tyce Diorio, Ihsan Rustem, Zak Schlegel, and Luca Veggetti.
Along with her freelance pursuits, Aika fosters a deep love for teaching. She is currently a faculty member of the nationally recognized convention West Coast Dance Explosion. She also travels around the world independently to teach and mentor young artists in a variety of spaces, such as the CLI Conservatory and World of Dance Tokyo. Aika cultivates a highly supportive and motivated environment for dancers to explore and excel in their craft. She will continue to use her own ongoing research to inspire passion and creativity, in every room and on every stage.
